Z-FLO is a rap artist with over 100 Million Plays across the web.
Born in Greenville, MS, he started writing poetry at age 7, then learned how to play the keyboard by ear at age 10 prior to merging the two talents to create rap music.
At age 19, he created a music video ad and entered it into the 2010 GoDaddy Summer Edition Commercial Contest, which won him a total of $75,000. He split the prize three ways with his two closest friends then invested a majority of his portion into purchasing film/video equipment.
In 2011, he started working on feature films and Reality TV shows as a Production Assistant, then eventually as an Assistant Camera and Cameraman. He’s worked for over 40 TV shows including NatGeo’s “Brain Games”, LifeTime’s “Bring It”, CBS’s “Undercover Boss”, “Parts Unknown”, and more. He doesn’t have cable, so he admits to never having seen a majority of the TV shows he’s worked on. His most-prized accomplishment was a Netflix film titled “1 Mile To You”, for which he worked on as the Underwater Camera Operator. He champions the project so much because it was only 3 years before filming it that he decided to get SCUBA-certified despite being very aquaphobic & unable to swim.
In 2014, Z-FLO opened up his own record label, and created a controversial project called the “No Offense” EP, where he satirically challenged perspectives on race stereotypes with humorous songs. His first song on the project, “The Black People Song”, has over 40 Million views to date.
