The Restless is a female pop duo formed by sisters Rachal and Emily Schmieder. The sisters collaborated in 2016 during the girls’ high school career. During this time, their original song “Phone Calls to Heaven” placed number 1 in the Kentucky Songwriting Competition. The duo also performed an event in 2017 which celebrated national education. Later the same year, the duo also founded the event “Songs for Change” which serves as a benefit concert to raise money for those in need over the holiday season. Despite their young career, The Restless have performed over 400 live performances throughout the Southwest & Midwestern regions. The Restless blend Nashville songwriting skills with Pop Melodies rich with harmony. The Restless are inspired by artists such as Tori Kelly, Maggie Rodgers, and Ed Sheeran. The Restless recently completed their first Summer tour titled “The Introduction Tour” & are scheduled to release new music Fall 2019.
“Ocean View” from the EP “Change” is a dreamy pop key-driven anthem, inspired by the story of wanting something you can’t have. The single shows off the duo’s natural sister harmony and vocal strength mixed with vulnerability.
