Nique-O was born July 22nd, 1991 in Queens, NY. In 94, him and his family were involved in a major car accident. Dying in the hospital at 3yrs old he was a miracle baby coming back to life & making a remarkable recovery.
Finding his passion he wrote his first rap at around 13. Night after night in his basement studio he recorded hundreds of songs.
Moving to Jacksonville, FL in 2010, the music scene was different but was no obstacle. He became a crowd favorite & caught local attention.
Nique was discovered by producer Tony Rose in 2011. Rose is from the legendary Boston music scene and helped create internationally famous acts like Prince Charles & The City Beat Band, The Jonzun Crew, New Edition, & New Kids On The Block. Seeing something special Rose took him under his wing. Short lived, Nique parted ways with Rose following an album release party in NYC.
Back to NY in 2012 he released Out The Cage, a mixtape under Thug-a-cation & HonorB4Money, labels ran by Brooklyn native, Papoose. This was to build anticipation for upcoming studio album Face Value, which was to be released that year. Promoted on Shade45, the mixtape was making some noise. With hosting by DJ KAY SLAY, unforgettable lyrics & features by Prodigy, Joe Budden, Royce Da 5’9 & more, it was a heavy hitter. Taking flight on his journey he hit some turbulence, pushing back the album & tour.
After years of being out of the public eye Nique-O established his own label, World Class Records. Nothing can stop him now!
