JAAG releases the audio for “The Promised Land” on Spotify. JAAG lives in Thousand Oaks, California, where the deadly shooting at the Borderline Bar and Grill happened last November. Twelve people were killed, including two of JAAG’s friends. The song was written in memory of them. It is a rousing, gritty gospel song of hope despite dire circumstances; featuring a full choir, brass section, and 50ft church organ, evoking stylistic similarities to The Rolling Stones, or Hozier.
