While many believe today’s R&B currently lacks the artistry and meaningful content of the 90s, only a few mainstream artists have been able to deliver the quality that still touches the soul. Fortunately, with a huge wave of up and coming R&B artists, fans are no longer forced to look to the mainstream for authentic rhythm and blues. Boston native, Frank Vocals, stands amongst these new vocalists who are on the rise and leaving their mark and attempting to push culture forward within a tainted genre.
“I’m here to cultivate the culture, here to motivate the block”, sings Frank as he introduces himself on his 16-track album.
Frank’s double-EP, Can I Be Frank With You, was released late August during his listening party at Quad Studios located in NYC. His hit singles Lucky You, Swerve and The One were produced by GxWay and BeastBoyz Entertainment. The album is in its entirety has such a smooth flow to it, making it hard to skip a track.
With a voice known to send chills down the listener’s spine, or should I say have you in your feelings, Frank uses the power and soul of his voice over futuristic hard hitting drums and base from Pop to Hip-Hop, Funk or R&B Soul as a medium to connect with his audiences.
