Erica Stone spent years waiting for her big break in the world of country music. After facing the ups and downs of the music business, handling the blows from record deals falling apart before the ink was dry, she decided to put her aspirations on a shelf for a while. She took a break from what she calls “too much of myself” and she threw herself into the world of activism, opening an orphanage across the world.
Sierra Leone became her second home, and she quickly became a voice for the voiceless, taking in hundreds of children over the last 9 years. She even went as far as adopting 5 of her very own, growing her family from 3 to 8.
In partnership with Fox Tale Films, filming and production has begun on a full length documentary, where she will share stories of the journey… taking us back into the corners of child exploitation, exposing the darkness and bringing awareness to the orphan crisis around the globe.
Erica is also close to publishing her first book and will be announcing more on that soon.
Finally, Erica is returning to her roots… the music. Putting her travels, her story, and her heart…. front and center. She gives her listeners a front row seat into love, loss, and “The Beautiful Fall”, as she likes to call it… the place where life either breaks you, or recreates you…and what we do in the aftermath of it all, is up to us. You can also find pieces of her life and her interpretation of it by visiting her blog through her website.
“Lies” is the new single from Erica Stone’s upcoming project entitled “Antidote”. “Lies” deals with the subject of what we tell the people we’re in relationships with, to preserve that relationship. Catchy, yet thought provoking, this pop/folk single will have you singing along while also making you think.
