Bad Things Happen was made to be a piece of music that felt very haunting and ominous. Cloudmilk was pouring through my old audio recordings, and he found a 4-hour clip from a day that he forgot to shut off my recording device. Cloudmilk came across one moment where he was having a very lengthy and sad conversation about recent events in his life with his friend. The “bad things happen” sample is from a moment in that conversation.
