Arenum is an art-rock band that incorporates industrial, goth and punk elements to create music that’s dark and reflects a lineage of influences that range from aesthetic art literature and of course the bands that broke the mold of what music should sound like. Based out of Munich Germany their geography allows them to explore high art, and dark pasts. They range from songs frivolous and yet sometimes move to the profound. Not trying to sound like anyone but certainly honoring past greats including Joy Division, Current 93, The Cure, Clan of Xymox and many others, Arenum releases albums regularly in a highly DIY Style similar to a musical podcast.
Dead beats speaks to the the nihilism that drives us to enjoy the night combined with the mystery that forces us to explore drive deeper. The title is of course a double entendre and this song is really intended to be a fun song for dark minded people to enjoy.
Arenum’s Fifth Album “Relics of Past Truths” is planned to be released to all fools on April 1 2019.
