Skipper Noon is a singer-songwriter born in Atlanta and raised in Fayetteville, GA. A creative at heart, drawing and writing poems and short stories has been a daily form of expression for Skip since his childhood. A mere affinity for writing became a real passion when a childhood friend recognized his gift and suggested writing music. Skip’s actually being able to sing was a surprise for both of them. Skip joined forces with this childhood friend and his production partner whom they also went to middle school and high school with. They became a writing and production company called Phenom. Phenom produced the single “Roger That” for Young Money which featured Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Tyga. They soon found themselves being managed by The Bar Music Group’s Troy Taylor and Ezekiel Lewis. Taylor can be credited with vocal producing many legendary artists from Whitney Houston to Boys II Men. Taylor is also responsible for discovering Trey Songz and today functions as his executive producer. Phenom had the pleasure of working with Trey on his 2010 mixtape “#LemmeHolDatBeat”, producing three songs, two of which Skip wrote the hooks for. Skip has since formed his solo imprint, SoFu. Out of the box storytelling, bold melodies and a unique tone of voice are what Skip hangs his hat on creatively. His ep SoFu Presents Skipper Noon is slated to drop summer 2019.
