When TLove wrote the song “Awake” he was standing outside one late night. There were no cars driving, it was pitch black and the whole neighborhood was asleep, including his household. Looking around TLove noticed how quiet it was and how nobody was awake, to his knowledge. He felt he was the only one night sleeping and thought “All these minds asleep around me, I’m wide awake chasing my dreams”. The meaning behind the song is basically saying that you can accomplish more if you’re awake than if you’re asleep. The thought of how there were others up in other places, living while the night was out, gave him the realization that he too can accomplish more. All TLove had to do was constantly push himself to stay “Awake”. Check it out.
